A squirt … WebJul 21, 2012 · I discovered I have a very bad dead spot when accelerating. This is a 289 with a 570 Holley on a Performer intake. I had a bad vacuum leak and installed a spacer under the carb to take care of the vacuum leak and all seemed well. I drove it around a little to settle in the front end, and discovered the dead spot.
